Welcome to the Putnam County Museum.
Since 2003, Putnam County Museum has been bridging generations, connecting communities, and helping to preserve Putnam County’s past. Whether you are a lifelong resident of the area or a visitor to our community, you are cordially invited to visit us and learn more about Putnam County.
If you don’t know about the museum, the short video to the right is a good place to start. It will give you an overview of the Museum and some recent exhibits.
To learn more, use the links to the left. Learn about our history, exhibits and educational programs, items available for purchase at our gift shop, and more.
But most of all, please come visit! Our website can only hint at the experience awaiting you in the Museum itself. We are located at 1105 N. Jackson Street in Greencastle (in what many county residents will remember as the old Kroger building). We welcome visitors Tuesday through Friday from 1 pm to 4 pm, and Saturdays from 10 am to 2 pm, or by appointment. If you have a group, please call in advance (765.653.8419) so that we can arrange a special tour.
Please stop by. We look forward to seeing you!
